WELCOME TO TDI COMPETITIONS
In it's 4th season, TDI continues to experience rapid growth and will be offering 28 regionals, 11 conference championships, 8 flag regionals and 13 regionals for TeamDance Youth (TDY ~ for age 9 - 9th grade teams). We will once again offer the JV Elite at State and the TDI State Championship on Sunday, March 7, 2010.

TDI Dance Division
Below is some basic information regarding TDI Dance competition. TDI Dance Categories will be offered at all 28 regionals and the State Championship:
- Varsity and JV member teams can qualify for the State Championship at any Regional Competition. JV teams are eligible for all categories!
- TDI offers a double judging panel at each regional competition. Team performances will receive oral critiques and scores from two (2) TDI Artistic Dance Judges and two (2) TDI Technical Dance Judges!
- Competition categories for High School Dance are offered in three divisions (A, AA, AAA). The IHSA multiplier will be applied to all non-public school enrollments totals. Please refer to www.IHSA.org for enrollment information. TDI uses the IHSA enrollment numbers and then breaks our membership into 3 divisions based on the membership list from the previous year. The enrollment ranges are subject to change from year to year.
- TDI Dance offers the following categories: Open Dance, Open Pom, Kick, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Pom.
- Coaches must have taken and passed the online TDI Coach Knowledge Assessment to be eligible for the State Championship and JV Elite.

TDI Flag Division
In 2009-2010, we will be offering 8 regional competition sites for TDI Flag.
Below is some basic information regarding TDI Flag competition:
- Varsity and JV member teams can qualify for the State Championship and JV Elite at any Regional Competition.
- TDI offers a double judging panel at each regional competition. Team performances will receive oral critiques and scores from two (2) TDI Artistic Flag Judges and two (2) TDI Technical Flag Judges!
- All flag teams compete in one school size. This practice will continue until the number of participants grow to accommodate a second division!
- TDI Flag offers the following categories for Varsity and JV: Tall Flag, Short Flag and Lyrical Flag.
- Coaches must have taken and passed the on-line TDI Coach Knowledge Assessment to be eligible for State and JV Elite qualification

TEAMDance Youth Division
In 2010-2011, TDY's Season Culminating Championship is now called the TDY Midwest Championship. It will take place the morning of February 5th, 2011 at Elgin Community College, Elgin, Illinois
Below is some basic information regarding TDY competition:
- TDY offers a double judging panel at each regional competition. Team performances will receive oral critiques and scores from two (2) TDY Artistic Judges and two (2) TDY Technical Judges!
- TDY offers the following categories: Hip Hop, Open Dance, Open Pom, Kick, and Open Flag.
- TDY Competitions take place during TDI competitions, thus allowing TDY teams the opportunity to watch the high school teams compete.
