WELCOME TO TDI COMPETITIONS
This year TDI is experiencing rapid growth and will be offering 28 regionals, 8 flag regionals and 11 regionals for TeamDance Youth (TDY) for 5th- 9th grade teams. We will once again offer the JV Elite at State and the State Championship

TDI Dance Division
Below is some basic information regarding TDI Dance competition. TDI Dance Categories will be offered at all 28 regionals and the State Championship:
- Varsity and JV member teams can qualify for the State Championship at any Regional Competition. JV teams are eligible for all categories!
- TDI offers a double judging panel at each regional competition. Team performances will receive oral critiques and scores from two (2) TDI Artistic Dance Judges and two (2) TDI Technical Dance Judges!
- Competition categories are offered in three divisions (A, AA, AAA) according to IHSA school enrollment declarations and school size ranges determined by membership analysis of previous fiscal year. The IHSA multiplier will be applied to all non-public school enrollments totals. Please refer to www.IHSA.org for enrollment/division range information. - TDI Dance offers the following categories: Open Dance, Open Pom, Kick, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Pom.
TDI Flag Division
In 2008 -2009, we will be offering 8 regional competition sites for TDI Flag.
Below is some basic information regarding TDI Flag competition:
- Varsity and JV member teams can qualify for the State Championship at any Regional Competition. JV teams are eligible for all categories except Show Flag.
- TDI offers a double judging panel at each regional competition. Team performances will receive oral critiques and scores from two (2) TDI Artistic Flag Judges and two (2) TDI Technical Flag Judges!
- Per the Advice of the 2006 Flag Think tank, all flag teams compete in one school size. This practice will continue until the number of participants grow to accomodate a second division!
- TDI Flag offers the following categories: Tall Flag, Short Flag, Open Drill and Lyrical Flag.

TEAMDance Youth Division
In the 2007-2008 we launched TEAMDance Youth. There will be 11 TDY Dance and 3 TDY Flag regional competitions that culminate into an event called the "Final Frenzy" on February 8, 2009.
Below is some basic information regarding TDY competition:
- TDY offers a double judging panel at each regional competition. Team performances will receive oral critiques and scores from two (2) TDY Artistic Judges and two (2) TDY Technical Judges!
- TDY offers the following categories: Hip Hop, Open Dance, Open Pom, Kick, and Open Flag.
- TDY Competitions take place during TDI competitions, thus allowing TDY teams the opportunity to watch the high school teams compete.
