Membership Opportunities
Your team does not need to be a member of TDY to participate at TDY Regional Contest Sites. However, there are several benefits TDY members receive, including discounted competition fees, access to hospitality suites, and additional educational opportunities through our secured sites.
Teams MUST be members this season to compete at the “TDY Final Frenzy” on Sunday, February 7, 2010. For more information on the TDY Final Frenzy please click on the link below.

Junior High/Middle School/Independent/Studio Flag or Dance Team Membership
TDY memberships are offered only to “high school feeder” teams with members 9 years old through 9th grade. Junior highs, middle schools, studios, park districts, recreation and all-star youth teams are all welcome to join TDY, regardless of state of origin.
Membership benefits include:
- Every rostered team member receives a TDI Appreciation Gift
- TDY Team Members eligible for TDY Final Frenzy Qualification held at Geneva High School on Sunday, February 7th, 2010
- Up to (3) coaches receive lanyards and name tags with Team Member Coach designation (additional coaches $10/each)
- Access to password protected area of website for team members only that includes:
~Competition and Membership Manual~TDI Constitution and By-laws~College Connections, a link with information and tryout schedules for colleges and universities that have dance and/or guard teams as well as listings of colleges and universities that have dance programs.~Access to team membership directory listings and re-declaration postings (updated weekly Nov 1st-Feb 21st)~Online judging evaluation forms~Comprehensive listing of TDI reserved and discounted hotels for stateCost for JV and YOUTH teams: $75/annually
TDI Coaches Association
TDI is the first and foremost organization in Illinois offering a certification program and on-going education for Illinois Dance and Flag coaches. TDI is dedicated to the support, education and promotion of dance and flag coaches in their roles as leaders, advisors, trainers, motivators, fundraisers, and choreographers. (Note: You do not need to be a member of TDI Coaches Association for your team to compete or attend TDI educational sessions or clinics.)
Membership benefits include:
- Access to Certification and Coach Educational Sessions
