  • 2-11-08 Geneva (FINAL FRENZY) - The TDY FINAL FRENZYresults are now posted on the Schedule & Results page.
  • 2-9-08 Team Size Redeclarations - Monday February 11, 2008 is the last day for teams to redeclare their team size for their 2007-2008 membership.  Please click on the Team Redeclaration link to submit team size changes.
  • 2-9-08 State Championship Program Ads and Well Wishes - The State Championship Program Ad and Well Wishs deadline is Monday February 11, 2008.  If you are interested in submitting an ad or well wish click here for State Program Ad information or here for the State Program Order Form.
  • 1-24-08 Competition Season -  The last remaining open contest for the 2007-2008 season is Fieldcrest on 2/2/08.  Fieldcrest registration is open until  Monday, 1/28/08!  Thanks to all the 23 Regional Contest Hosts for a fantastic second year!
  • 1-20-08 Judge Evaluation Forms - To help us improve our judging system, coaches are encouraged to complete a Judge Evaluation form after each competition.  To streamline this process we have created an electronic evaluation form.  The form is contained within the Team Members Secured site which can be accessed through left hand toolbar. Coaches remember that the password to this site is located on your membership acknowledgment letter.
  • 1-14-08 Lake Park Competition Photos - Attached is a link to the photos taken at the Lake Park Competition.  When you are redirected to the photography website, click on the order online, and select the Dance and Cheerleading link to view the photos.
  • 1-10-08 TDY Final Frenzy at Geneva H.S. Competition - The TDY Final Frenzy is being hosted at the Geneva H.S. Competition on February 10, 2008.  For clarification purposes, TDY Teams DO NOT need to qualify for this event, this event is open to all TDY teams to participate in.  In addition, this competition has special logo t-shirts.  Please click here for a merchandise order form.
  • 12-28-07 Team Resumes and Photos -  Last year we asked teams to submit team resumes and photos for inclusion in the State program.  Based on feedback from coaches, parents and staff members we have changed the layout of the program and will not be including team photos and resumes.  This change will allow us to significantly reduce the cost of the program.  We will continue to include team well wishes within the program and will have an order form available in early January.
  • 12-11-07 Membership Redeclarations:  Team Size Redeclarations may be submitted via the Team Redeclaration link on the left toolbar.  Redeclarations received by midnight the Monday before a contest will be updated and considered final for that weekend.
  • 12-8-07 MR. TDI Competition - We are proud to say that the introduction of the MR. TDI Competition at our November Contests was a great success.  The Mr.TDI competition was developed as a fundraising opportunity designed to increase participation and involvement of the participant’s family members and to have some plain old fun at the competitions!   With the success of the program we are now offering two divisions: Mr. TDI for adults and Teen TDI for High School participants.  To learn more, register, and watch videos of past performances please please click here or on the MR.   • 12-6-07 The Competitions Season is in FULL GEAR..Regsiter now...Contests are filling UP!  As a reminder, be sure to get your contest registration forms in SOON...some sites are filling up fast.  Below are the Contest dates and deadlines!!!  To register click on the Contest Forms Link on the left toolbar.
  • 12-1-07 Argo and Jacobs Competition Registration -  There was a typo on both the Argo and Jacobs H.S. Competition Registration forms.  The registration deadline was listed as 12/13/07, however the Argo Competition registration deadline is not until 1/12/08 and the Jacobs deadline is 1/13/08.  The forms have been corrected and re-posted on the Contest Dates and Contest Forms page.
  • 11-30-07 Maine South H.S. and Bremen H.S. Competition - The Maine South and Bremen Competition schedules are now posted on the Schedule & Results page.
  • 11-28-07 Team Membership List -  The team membership list has been posted in the Team Members and Coach Member Secured Sites.  Coaches please review this listing to ensure we have the correct information and team size for you team. 
  • 11-17-07 Mr. TDI Competition Videos and Results -  We are pleased to launch an additional website specifically for the Mr. TDI Competitions.  Please click on the Mr. TDI logo at the top right corner of this page and the link will take you to the Mr. TDI Home Page where we will continue to post the videos from each competition.  At this time we have posted the St. Charles East videos and results.  Congratulations to Mr. Jeff Curtin from Fremd H.S. who won the MR. TDI title and Mr. Aaron Sander from St. Charles East H.S. who won the Teen TDI title at the St. Charles East Competition.  Each of them won $75.00 for their Dance Teams.  If you are interested in learning more about the Mr. TDI Competitions and how you can win money for you team, please click on the "Mystery Man" link above.
  • 11-16-07 Bremen Competition Registration Deadline - Teams have until Monday, November 26th to register for the contest at Bremen High School in Midlothian, Il to be held on Sunday, December 9th.  Bremen is offering categories for TDI Dance, TDI Flag and TeamDance Youth!  The contest at Batavia High on Dec. 2nd is now closed, so consider competing at Bremen.  The theme is "Snowmen" and it promises to be a great day!  To obtain a registration form please click on the Contest Forms link on the left toolbar.
  • 11-12-07 Batavia Competition - The Batavia contest on Sunday December 2, 2007 has reached capacity and has now closed its registration.  Any teams wishing to compete in a December competition are encouraged to contact Maine South (TDI Dance/TDY Dance) or Bremen (TDI and TDY Dance and Flag) for their regional contests being held on Sunday, December 9th.
  • 11-7-07 TeamDance Illinois & Halftime Illinois are joining forces! - The Board of Directors of both TDI and Halftime Illinois have decided to bring together these two organizations which share a common commitment to the benefits that student performers and coaches receive from TEAM competition and education! Halftime Illinois is a proud organization that has served its teams well, developed new programs and offered a full competition series since 1996.  Halftime Illinois will now merge into TDI.  TDI is excited to begin working with and educating new Halftime Judges and Coaches as they enter into TDI. Please join us in welcoming new teams, new staff members and new judges.  We are ALL looking forward to a GREAT Year!
  • 11-7-07 Attention soon to be member teams! - You do not need to wait for your membership numbers to register for a competition.  We are currently processing a large number of membership applications.  If you are interested in registering in a competition now, please place the word "pending" in the membership # area of the competition registration form and pay the member (vs. non-member) contest fee(s).  TDI will provide each contest host with a list of member teams prior to each contest!  For a list of competitions, please click on the Contest Dates link on the left toolbar.
  • 11-7-07 Competition Deadlines Approaching - The competition registration deadlines are quickly approaching.  The Batavia deadline is November 11, 2007 and the Bremen and Maine South deadlines are November 18, 2007.  If you are planning on attending any of these competitions, don't delay...register today!  To download a registration form, please click on the contest dates or contest forms link on the left toolbar.

  • 10-30-07 Wheaton Warrenville South Competition - Due to a limited number of performances, the Wheaton Warrenville South Competition is being postponed until 2008.  For those teams who registered for the competition, your registration fees will be returned shortly.  We would like to thank the Wheaton Warrenville South coaches, parents, and administration who worked diligently to plan a great day and look forward to working with you in 2008.
  • 10-27-07 Spirit Rules - In an effort to proactively disseminate Spirit Rule information, we have created the Spirit Rule link on the left hand tool bar.  This page will list the questions we receive regarding specific rules and situations.  After receiving clarification we will post the interpretations here for all teams to review.
  • 10-25-07 Spirit Rule Meetings - The IHSA has concluded Spirit Rule Meetings for the season.  If you attended a meeting without a TDI Representative present, please either fax a copy of the TDI Blue Ticket to 630-578-3839 attention: Membership, or email the number to tdimembership@yahoo.com.  This will allow us to document our membership records accordingly.
  • 10-23-07 Oswego East Competition - Due to a limited number of performances, the Oswego East Competition is being postponed until 2008.  For those teams who registered for the competition, your registration fees will be returned shortly.  We would like to thank the Oswego East coaches, parents, and administration who worked diligently to plan a spectacular day and look forward to working with you in 2008.

  • 9-8-07 Competition Schedule - Due to internal staffing/scheduling conflicts at the schools, Rich Central (November 17, 2007) and Belleville West (February 10, 2008) will no longer be offering competitions.  If you have already registered for either of these competitions your entry fees will be returned.

  • 8-18-07 TDY at Maine South - TeamDance Youth dance categories have been added to the Maine South competition scheduled for December 9, 2007.
  • 8-18-07 IHSA Spirit Rules Meetings -  There is one more TDI recommended IHSA Spirit Rules Meeting left! As a reminder, the Varsity Coach from each team (one from dance and one from flag) must attend a rule meeting and pass this info to assistants and JV coaches.  On September 8, 2007 you have the opportunity to fulfill this requirement and attend some of the classes offered at the Fall Conference being held at St. Charles H.S.  Regardless of which Spirit Rule Meeting you attend you should request a TDI "Blue Ticket" that will be handed out by IHSA officials.  Coaches are to request a blue ticket and keep this as proof of attendance.  Click on the Spirit Rule Meeting link on the left navigation bar to find additional information.

  • 7-19-07 Contest Date Change - Please note, due to scheduling conflicts at the school, the Maine South H.S. Competition date has been changed to Sunday December 9, 2007.  Please click here for an updated contest schedule.
  • 7-14-07 Judge Certification - The 2007-2008 Judge/Officials Certification program has been posted on the Judge Certification link.  Judges and Officials should review these requirements now and start scheduling their training so they have enough time to complete the coursework prior to the competition season.
  • 7-7-07 Competition Registration Forms - The competition registration forms have been posted on the Contest Dates and Contest Forms page.  Please note: The Bremen High School Competition on December 9, 2007 has been added as a TDY Site.
  • 7-7-07 Fall Conference and Mini Conference - The schedule and registration forms for the fall conference and the mini conference have been posted.  The Fall conference is scheduled for September 7-9, 2007 at St. Charles East H.S. and the Mini Conference is on August 18, 2007 at Belleville West H.S.  Don't delay .... Register Today!
  • 7-2-07 State Qualification Score - The 2007-2008 Season State Qualification system has been posted on the Competition page.  With the expansion to 24 regional competitions and the expected membership growth the qualifying score for the 07-08 season has been established at 80%.
  • 6-30-07 Dance Resource and Costume Preview Show - Looking for costumes, shoes, or other dance products?  The United Dance Merchants of America is hosting a free dance resource and costume preview show at the Schaumburg Convention Center on October 20 and 21.  If you are interested in learning more click here.
  • 6-30-07 JV "BIG 10" at State - With the significant interest in the highly competitive Junior Varsity categories we are proud to announce that we are converting the JV "Elite 8" at State to the JV "Big 10" at State.  Essentially, the top 10 scoring performances (8 Dance and 2 Flag teams) regardless of school class size and category, qualify to advance to the JV "Big 10" Championship.  The qualification will be based on score only.  This means all teams (both dance and flag); in all school sizes and all categories will compete together for the title.
  • 6-6-07 Emerging Category OPEN DRILL-  As we gather information from coaches, students, and the marketplace we look to enhance our category offerings to meet the needs of the teams involved  in the activity.  We are in the process of developing a new category called OPEN DRILL.  Please click here to learn more about the category definition and provide any feedback you may have.
  • 6-6-07 Flag Think Tank:  The Flag Think Tank will be meeting on  Sunday June 10, 2007 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Lannert Group Office at 215 Fulton St. in Geneva, IL.  The group will be discussing the issues affecting flag teams and category descriptions.  If you are interested in attending, please email us at teamdanceillinois@yahoo.com.
  • 5-31-07 TDY Competitions - TEAMDance Illinois is proud to announce that 11 Competitions will be offered for the TEAMDance Youth Division during the 2007-2008 Season.  Please click on the Contest Dates link to view the current competition schedule.
  • 5-31-07 July Class Schedule - The July course schedule has been posted on the Class Schedule link.  Classes are available for Coaches, Judges, Students, Student Council Members, and parents!  Additional courses will be posted as they become available so please check back often.  Beginning with the 2007-2008 season all course registration will be conducted online through the class schedule link.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Academy staff at tdiacademy@yahoo.com
  • 5-31-07 Prop Category - TDI is currently reviewing the categories being offered during the 2007-2008 season.  We will be conducting an online web poll during the month of June to gather the level of interest of teams competing in this category and the viability of continuing to offer this category in the future.  At this time, we have removed the category offering from the Categories Description page until the analysis is complete.  To participate in the survey clicking here.
  • 5-25-07 August Monthly Meeting - Please note the August TDI Management meeting has changed dates and location.  The new date is Saturday August 11, 2007 and will be held at Stevenson High School between 10:00 am and 12:00 noon.  This meeting will begin immediately following the conclusion of the IHSA Spirit Rule meeting being held at the same location.

  • 5-18-07 TDI Fall Conference -  Mark your calendars!  The TDI Fall Conference is scheduled for the weekend of September 8 and 9.  We are working on the logistics and will have information published soon!
  • 5-16-07 Flag Think Tank - Thanks to all those who attended the Flag Think Tank.  Great ideas were shared regarding the building of the competitive flag program, redefining the categories and recruitment of teams and judges.  The Think Tank works continues and updates will be provided here!

  • 4-15-07 State 2008 - The 2007-2008 TEAMDance Illinois State Championship will be held on Sunday March 2, 2008 at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois.  We will once again host a State Championship Pre-Party on Saturday March 1, 2008.
