TDI STUDENT ADVISORY BOARD - 2009-2010

How to Serve
Each coach can nominate as many members as they feel would offer the experience and responsibility level to participate in group discussion, provide valuable feedback, and be willing to both communicate with their team and reach out to youth teams in their area. Coaches nominate members via a link on the membership application or through the link above.
Annual Schedule
Student Advisory Board members will be asked to attend a meeting at the Fall Conference and Spring Ahead events. They will also participate in polling surveys and respond promptly to TDI SA emails!
Fall Conference: Sunday, September 13th, 2009 from 9:45am – 11am (no charge and snack will be provided!). Held at St. Charles East High School. See the full Fall Conference schedule for other same-day offerings such as the Junior Judging class and Keys to Choreography offered specifically for students before and after the SA meeting.
Spring Ahead: The location and date of this meeting is to be determined. The meeting is typically held on a Sunday morning during mid April in the Chicagoland area.
Don't miss out on having your voices heard and being a part of this important advisory board. Many new and exciting things are being launched this year. The goal will be to communicate these events and share ideas.
SA members have access to a secured site that provides information and interactive polling. Please check the TDI website and this secured site often for pertinent information. It is going to be a great season!

Welcome to TDI Student Advisory Board, a unique program in Illinois for Dance and Flag Team student performers. This Advisory Board is open to Varsity and JV High School MEMBER team students.
Purpose
- Advice - SA members will serve as an ADVISORY BOARD to the TDI Organization. Members provide a voice as well as insight into topic areas ranging from Mr. TDI, sportsmanship, merchandise, state pre-party, competitions feedback and more.
- Communication - SA Members will take back and communicate important TDI information to their teams, as well as share their information through the Student Advisory web page.
- Outreach - SA members can help build their school’s dance and flag programs by reaching out to youth teams in their area and encouraging them to compete in TDI’s newest division – TeamDance Youth (TDY). TDY provides competitions for any type of team (school or non-school) whose team members are between grades 5-9. Students who compete through TDY will enter high school and make those teams even better!
